Giddy after 4.5 Years..

I am lucky to have a wonderful man in my life. He is my Romeo! He's dreamy, sexy, funny, smart, caring, generous, and perfect in every way...and has a great head of hair! He has movie star James Dean-ish hair. We went on a date last night, had dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant. We were so excited to see each other. It got me thinking...what we have is so special.

To be able to still have that spark in a relationship even after 4 years is a beautiful and special thing. I have friends who are in relationships for fun, because its comfortable, to keep them busy until their next one...I feel like romance is lost nowadays. Even with younger generations, relationships equate sex, hooking up, one night stands.

Whatever happened to good old fashioned weak in the knees love and romance?

It's so important to keep the magic in a relationship...to fall in love all over again everyday, to get giddy after a date, to get butterflies in your stomach when he kisses you...

Some ways to keep the spark alive could be:
- try a new activity (i.e. rock climbing, sailing, camping, bowling, playing a sport, etc.)
- having a day in to just hang out and get to know each other again
- booking a hotel to yourselves on weekend
- cooking together (or learning how to!)

Happy loving everyone!

A girl with a thought

So this is my first blog - I am just testing it out. I'm not sure what I plan on writing about...but I enjoy the idea of sharing my thoughts with anyone out there who comes across this page. My life at the moment is a time of reflection...as I am exploring deeper my relationship of over 4 years, as I have recently graduated, as I am currently unemployed and seeking a job, as I have a father who has just remarried, as I have a mother who I want so badly to find a new love...

Life is such a wonderful, frustrating, funny, confusing, irritating, and exciting adventure. I guess we are all here to share our journey...and I am just another girl with a thought to share.

Thanks for joining me and listening :)
